While I hear ya and understand what you say Socs, others don't make the differentiation between what comes under our banner and what doesnt.
If a WCC member organises it then it is generally presumed it is a WCC gig regardless of whether only members attend or there are non members also. Tis sad but true. Nicely said however.

Alrighty. Firstly, 'stones'were not made up to tarnish the club. The person reported to me exactly what they saw and they have see the comments that came after mine and they are not happy and will not be coming back. As far as they are concerned we are also now a bunch of liars to boot. Fantastic! >
This is taken directly from the msn conversation.
'just seen the forums will not be giveing them another chance there were burnouts leaveing the look out zig zags and bcf as i have others were were there nd the moron at bcf nearly hit a pole so sorry to say the club is not for me they can not be responcable for there actions they didnet see me at zig zags as we got there before them and parked down the back.'
So whoever that was, I honestly hope to God it was not a WCC member! If a charity event is to be run with WCC's banner then it should be members only and no one else. A club donation. Then we can avoid this crap!
I'm sorry something you organised had issues Sammy and as I said, well done on the money raised. I'm glad you raised money too Paul. However, this happened and as to who and how, I can't say. Lets just avoid it again. As far as I'm concerned that should be the end of it. This was discussed at the last WCC Financial members meeting. Maybe more people need to attend to hear what is said.

Alrighty. Nice to hear the other side of it but the bottom line is some tool did it even if it wasn't a member and our club got the bash for it. It seems to me that if a member organises it and it comes under WCC banner then a really good talking to at the beginning is going to have to occur. I know Sam would have given one but as to what was said, well, I wasn't there. Word has it that there was some idiocy and revving by a number of vehicles on leaving a point which is almost as bad as doing a burnout because it brings notice to the meet we don't need. This is the club's rep on the line and this cruise put a lil dent in ours. We now have 6 people who took my word that we are a club that does not do this crap and now they don't believe me. Six new potential members who were not just new to the cruise but to the whole scene having been put off joining anywhere else because of reps for burnouts and stupidity. I will try to bring them along again but not sure if it's going to happen.
Let's think before we rev or crap on and lets also think before we post on other club forums as to who might turn up and ruin our club's name for us.
Thanks guys. And Sam? Outstanding fundraising effort given the turnout. Nice idea.

Oh they definitely sucked. Lachie loved them cos he's never seen them before. Being an old veteran tho, I have seen so much better. They were very generic and the only exciting ones were the hearts which didn't last very long in comparison to previous years. In the past they've had shapes of camelias, hearts (bigger and better than this years) a rose. Why not do the Aussie flag? If Sydney can pull off some amazing ones and the americans, what are we doing?
