When a double post appears in Shoutbox, this is due to when a user selects the "shout" button at the same time as it is refreshing the Shoutbox shouts. If you have a double post happen in shoutbox, you can refresh the web page by pushing the "F5" button on your keyboard which will then correct the error for you and remove the double post.
To ensure that you dont keep making double posts in Shoutbox, wait until the "Loading" icon disappears first from Shoutbox before posting your shout in Shoutbox.
