Hey all,

Ive just come across someone selling sets of these wheels at a pretty affordable price, but i can't decide which ones i like better or which ones would suit my car better... So i'm asking for your help! Please vote and tell me which ones you like better and think would suit my car better.

These are the wheels, both of them are in bronze and are 18x9.5 with +30 offset:

Both absolutely fugly, in poo colour

Generally speaking. Try get 8.5 front +30 and 9.5 rear + 30
Anything lower and you'll have to rolls guards.
Tyre wise, stretch is hectic sick or I like big fat tyres..

I'll definitely be getting stretched tyres If i even get them though... Depends on Tom buying my current wheels

Stetched look then you could go lower offsets than what I said as the base. Ie something like 215 front and 235 rear (on like 8.5 and 9.5" wheels, also illegal btw ), dial in camber and lower to floor <Your driveway sucks for epic fitment though...

Pink = gay which eventually becomes poo... or gets covered in it, but i won't get into that...

Yeh the only offset they come in is +30

Cheap TE37 knock offs or cheap CE28N knock offs. Where is the neither option? Get something with decent fitment, its only $65 to roll your guards and shouldnt be much more to lip them. +30 is shit house!!

Lol Rhys i'm going for the look not the brand. I don't race my car so i don't need 0.003 gram wheels, i don't care how much they weigh and i don't care if they are not actually Works or Rays or Nismo. They are good looking wheels.

I pick the rota G force ones, the second picture. I dont mind the colour either, but if it was me, before I decided Id ask if I could put the rims next to my car and stand back and have a look, just to be sure to be sure.

Photoshop? I'm actually more worried about the offset, unless you're willing to run spaces. I've become used to the idea of you running crappy wheels, looks like you're a lost cause now...

Stock R34 GTR wheels run +30 offset and they fit awesomely on GTT's?

33 stockies are like 6.5" wide lol, and they are +40, then add another 2.5" and 1cm and you'll get 34GTR stockies ryry.

My Mitsi is running 18x9.5 +30, you can do better on an R34 GTT!

You want 18x9 +20ish on the front running 225/40R18's and 18x10 +20ish on the rear running 255/35R18's.

Oh and Rota's are shit ans heavy, go jap already!

Edit: James 235/40R18's on 18x9.5 is perfectly legal!

Lol compare the Rotas to my GMaxs... The Rotas win hands down. I don't care about weight, i'm not building a time attack car; although they are 4kgs lighter than my GMax's so that's a bonus. And there are plenty of people drifting on these wheels that have smacked them around a bit, so they are not weak. To me the only difference between these wheels and Japanese wheels is the price tag...

Would i have to roll my guards on those offsets though Lachlan?

On the offsets I suggested? Yes, especially if lowering.

The Japanese wheels are made with a better process usuing better materials. I'd go Jap everytime, worth the extra $$$.

A quick google image search of "Rota Wheels" yielded the following results. This is why our store does not sell the Rota brand, we thought about it but have since dismissed the idea.

2nd hand Jap wheels keep their value anyway, so no issues selling when you get sick of them!
Lip the guards anyway, not too hard. Definately next on my list. You;ll know why when you see my car next... (Failed Demon Camber )

Any wheel can break, it depends what you do with it. My car is a streeter, the most intense track work it sees is on the skid pan. The guy i would be buying these Rota's off is a member on SAU, he has a set on his R32 drift car, he told me he has done 100s of laps on these wheels, even slapped a curb and they didn't dent or shatter, just chipped the paint. He is a business trader with plenty of good feedback so i take his word for it.
