..............engine wouldnt go in..........
we suspected it was the ORC twin plate not being aligned propely not fkn happy at all!
i type into google "aligning twin plate clutch" and this is what comes up:
"fucking free ORC twin plate clutch bitchass motherfucker fuck you"
sums it all up in a nutshell! -minus the 'free'

Yeah, they arent easy to line up. A normal clutch is hard enough Hopefully an alignment tool can sort out all your issues. I take it you left the gearbox in the car then?

much appreciation to u n 2lv8etr. that input shaft did the trick.
my hands still stink of the the mud that came out of that gearbox!
overall was good, i just sat back n watched jordy do his thing.
starts off with:
"i used to pull these apart all the time when i worked at nissan, did s15's 300zx's"
then
"why the fu# wont this come out"
then
"fu# you! fu#ing Fu##!"

cheers mate.
i held it for another week. its still in the shed, was such a fk around gettin the engine in didnt have enough time to finish off the wiring and also we couldnt get it on the car trailor even with the front bumper and intercooler off!
have spent about 6hrs past couple of days tryin to sort the fkn wiring out, extending bits here n there n tryin to figure out wtf the shop who did the 25 conversion was on when they wired it up, so many dodgy connections n plugs missing.
now i just need to mount battery in boot, run a few more wires to starter motor install the 044, and raise the car up
she doesnt like to be raised at the front tho, i have my ikeya formula roll centre adjusters in (control arms n castor rods) and with them installed the front of the car can only be raised a certain amount
whatever the case even if i have to push it its going to ovaboost this thursday!!!!

They're pretty busy, so that's probably why. Ovaboost is nothing like KYP, don't worry about that!

Lol what, KYP are busy too. Not that I'm defending them... But why would a workshop need a car for that amount of time to do those sort of jobs? If they are too busy to work on it then they simply can't fit you in yet?

wat they gonna do. work on it an hour each day till its finished?
possibly. the list is quite extensive.
if anyone tells u an rb30det in an r32 is a piece of piss n blah blah blah n they havent done it. feel free to kick them in the ovary for me.
mine is the only R32 they have seen with an rb30det in it. (but have workd on lots of 30det VL's)
other things that need done are, powersteering pulley doesnt fit on rb30 block, turbo hitting the strut tower (rb30's sit slightly to one side naturally)-hence need to modify engine mounts and exhaust manifold, wire q45 throttle body, may need to get a longer tb cable, bellhousing bolts, modify oil feed so it doesnt hit timing belt, fuel rail lines, fpr, drop old fuel, do the exhaust, cooler pipe, intake pipe n pod, setup external gate, wire thermo fans, struts for radiator, install startermotor, timing belt, oils n fluids, THEN start it up and do a run in tune etc -just off the top of my head
also bcoz i put the clutch on without timing belt could have bent the valves. I doubt i did tho coz i used a rattle gun.
it all comes down to 2 things, 1) because the engine sits so high even with a greddy plenum we cant use an RB clutch master cylinder. im in the process of sourcing an s13 one which are about 1" shorter so hopefully will fit.
2) the exhaust manifold. im sourcing a different one, they want me to buy a 6boobs but i dont have $1400 to spare atm!
cant wait for my $25,000 bill from ovaboobs
