Thanks for that James. Was that dump pipe on ebay the 2.5" one? I can't find any 3" ones for 34's

Ooohh... That's because they don't exist mate! My mate was looking for some for ages, and yeah, no one makes them. I think the best thing to do would be to get Kermit to knock you up some custom ones.
And X-Force cats are very restrictive. Knocking yours out is the cheapest option...

Yeah, it was a 2.5" one.
X-Force high flow cat restrictive...?
My 33 GTR had one, ebay spec front pipes and hks hi power silent catback + apexi pods and was only just a lil slower than Rohan's LM..

Yeh Rhys, JJR makes the 3" bellmouth dump/front pipe that will fit my car, i'll just go with that.
I hate de-cat or gutted cats, not doing it to my car. The difference is like 4hp, so it's not even noticeable lol

From what I've heard (reliable) the difference between a standard GTR and a LM is... The LM is factory blue But from a back to back decat and X-Force comparison, the X-Force has a very noticable power loss. Your car your choice though.
My bad Martin. I haven't looked into it for a while.

Well a decat is going to be less of a loss than running any cat obviously, but i want a cat, i don't like decat spec

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you now receive a hefty fine for not having Cats on your exhaust system or hollowing your cats out?

I doubt it if your cat was gutted because you could claim you bought it like that. Possible though i guess

Yea you CAN, but you WONT. I'm not saying its the ultimate, obviously popping flames is cool, but for a street car best to keep your cat.
Most high-flow cats hardly restrict your exhaust, X-Force cats do though. That and I hate all things X-Force

Running without a cat can cost up to $10k in fines. Do so at your own peril. Not worth the pissweak few kW in my opinion.
Also ceramic cats have a tendency to block where metal cats don't.

Thanks for that Allen, interesting stuff. So X-Force is out.
Do you know a good quality brand of hi-flow cat? I would like to stay legal, i don't want to pass up the legality of my car for the sake of a few kw or dollars. If i can't afford one then i can't afford one, i'd rather save until i can afford one than buy a dodgy one or an illegal one.

Metal Cat is the best on the market at the moment, and being metal (obviously) they don't break down as easily. Definately my choice for a daily. That reminds me, I need to see what cat I have on my car. I know it's high flow, but not sure what brand.

I'm going in to KYP on Monday to put down a deposit on the half cut. Then Ben is going to Japan to source the donor car.
I should be getting the money from the bank in about a week, but i don't want to get it until i need to pay Ben... So i need to ask the bank if i can delay withdrawing the money
