Yeh I was never expecting Hybrid-esque mileage, I'm just a bit disappointed that it is so much worse on fuel after being tuned compared to how it was when it was untuned Everyone always says how much better fuel economy gets when you get a tune, so I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get that.

I have the same kind of mods, and I get 400+ a tank, so no way is that right. Time to get it retuned again, cos that's bullshit man

280km ay?
What kind of tune? is it a "give me as much power as I can get tune?"
Either shit tune or shit driving.
Can't blame it on early boost. Rowan used to have a high compression Cefiro, boost would kick in around 1900 and on full my 2750, and auto. He said somewhere in the 500 - 600 range, per tank....naturally a bit more being a 2.0 litre, but 25s, especially NEOs shouldnt be far behind.

Mum's car is a hybrid, so I know how to drive to get the best fuel economy. It's not my driving.
I just asked Andrew to tune it, told him it's my daily driver n shit... But surely on the stock turbo you would need to lean the tune out a fair bit to extract maximum power, meaning I would be getting much better fuel economy. Car made 243rwhp at 13.5psi, on low boost (8.5psi) it was around 220rwhp or something.

How is leaning out going to get more power ???
13.5 PSI is a fair bit, for a stock turbo too, that's alot of air to be matching with fuel, definately too much for a daily driver.
Like I said, EBC, shift boost to later on the band, and lower the volume.

Lol dude I have an EBC, it's set to 8.5psi low boost which is what I have been driving around with. 13.5psi is high boost, I have not been using that. Even so, there are plenty of people running way more psi with bigger turbos flowing much more air, all getting better fuel economy than me...

So change boost delivery then.
You said it kicks in at 1700rpm ? Right before your natural power band begins to curve, it's already forced to shift its fuel map as the turbo begins spool.
Set boost to later and wider delivery.

Yeh I know Allen, I'm a bit weary of high boost which is why I'm only using low boost right now.

Lol it's ok, I'm not driving my car daily right now. Would become a problem when my sister and dad are both back in the country and I don't have access to any other cars... So I have until then to get it sorted
