Well the dump/front pipe is currently being installed, should be ready soon... Taking ages though, dropped it off at about 8:30 this morning so it's been there for 3 1/2 hours already. But I think they probably had to let the exhaust cool down before they could to work on it because it would expand and the bolts wouldn't come out.
Anyway, I've spent the last 3 hours running around midland looking for hose to install my oil catch can. Impossible task I tell you. Nobody has any of this stuff! Useless

Yeh I want something attractive Tiddy lol.
Forgot to update, car sounds like sex now Turbo volume is up to par with the rest of the exhaust now, so it really screams on full throttle Fuckin love it haha.
I have also finished my pod heat shield, will take photo's tomorrow in the daylight sometime. It fits even more perfectly then I thought it would, so really happy with it
Also almost completed painting my engine cover after having to completely redo it, pretty much perfect so far as well. Should get it finished tomorrow, wanted to give it a chance to dry overnight before I did anymore on it, lest I get fingerprints in it

I want to see pics of the heat shield, want to try something similar for my car.
Sounds good mate! Nearly ready for that photoshoot, then? I might have more then one new lens to try out on your car...

Will definitely be ready by next week dude. I forgot to take pictures of the heat shield today so I'll do it tomorrow, although it's still a little bit dodgy right now Couldn't find a proper captive nut, tried being a bit intuitive but it didn't work so well.
Might still paint it as well, undecided but I'm not really happy with it's aesthetics right now. It does it's function really well, it feels like outside air temperature inside the heat shield after a hard drive. Bit on the expensive side, but it works really well!

Photo's of the heatshield:
Not the best photo's, but they were only quick ones, I'll show you in person Rhys.
I'm not really happy with it's appearance, the vented lid at the top is too shiny in comparison with the rest of the shield, and it is quite scratched up from cutting the aluminum. I also don't like the captive nuts I used to attach the vented lid, but I can't find any good looking screws that are the right size...
Anyway, the heatshield is made of aluminum, the wall has heat reflective tape on the outside and insulation material on the inside, so next to no heat gets through to the pod. The idea behind the vented lid was that hot air rises, so those vents will allow the hot air to be pushed through the heatshield while cold fresh air is forced in there by the 4" ram intake hose leading up from that side vent in my front bar.
So basically my pod stays nice and cold I noticed a huge difference in throttle response, and a little difference in power at higher rpm.

Haha not as good as I wanted it to look. But no biggy, it does it's job really well. I'll sort out the aesthetics side of things progressively.

Oh thanks man haha
It's been quite an experience, and I love it I really have to discipline myself now, I always just wanna drive my car and I know I shouldn't because it's expensive to run, I have to drive mum's or my sisters car every so while.
Also it's so hard not to boost lol. Driving in the rain on Friday for the first time, it wasn't slipping at all so I was like this isn't that bad! Entering onto the freeway, decided to put my foot down in third, soon as I hit 5000rpm the back end just kicked out lol. Made me smile, but was so dangerous haha.
Have sorted out Monday so it will be getting the 1000km service then

Haha, it's not hard man! Everytime I hit boost in the wet I'm sideways. Always fun when I touch it slightly then gentally slide the car around a corner at a 45deg angle Also got into 4th the other day without moving any more then 30cm but be stupid careful, cos you can ruin all your hard work (and your mum, dad, god's) in a split second.

In the wet I can!! Was spinning 4th down the straight at AHG when I went with Fusion with my Falcon stockies, and got into 3rd on the spot with them on too. Might be able to get into 4th? I've never really tried.

Hahahaha man I was so bored waiting for you! lol.
Speaking of, my shift knob is annoying the shit out of me. It doesn't fit tight enough, so when driving I have to keep my hand on it or it rattles like a motherfucker! It's so annoying, need to work something out to make it fit better.

Paper will make it's own noise though. Was thinking of using some thread tape, but I can't get the bloody thing off, KYP must have though it would be a good idea to torque the thing to 1000psi

300hp, mate! Well, 300.1 technically. So not crazy amounts of power. But very dodgy tires and bad camber means not much contact to the road, grip becomes an issue. I spun 6 times that day!!
Martin, use a rag and multigrips to get it off, then use some thread tape to make it nice and tight.
