Hi guys,
a while ago I heard that the government was going to change various legislations so that P Platers weren't going to be able to drive turbo cars or V8's. Can anyone shed light on this as I'am wondering whether or not this is going to happen and when it will if it is.

hmmm... my GF is getting here P's soon and she wants to buy a R33 S2 GTS-T. i guess now she cant. I would logically presume that if this is correct then I better stop letting her do Her L's in my R34.

they have only let this pass over in the eastern states so far, they are pushing to get it so that the 3 years you are on ur p plates (yes its 3 years now) u are not allowed to drive V6 V8 V10 V12 turbo and supercharger. anyone caught driving these cars whilest on p's gets there cars impounded...
which personally i think is a load of crap but its the only way the government thinks it'll stop hoons and accidents.

yeh so glad they dont extend ppl that r currently on there p's cos they'd have a hard time trying to get the current p platers to stick to that.

Lol well thats a great pitty, there will be tears shed from P-Platers everywhere about not being allowed to drive V10's or V12's
Not being allowed to drive 6 cylinder cars is pretty harsh, not all of them are quick... Take my car for example
I don't think it is that bad an idea, its only two years... Its not three years here, still only two years http://www.dpi.wa.go...ivers/1473.asp. Anyway at this stage it is only a suggestion, i wouldn't worry about it until it becomes concrete, although it might be an idea to get your GF to drive a car that doesn't have the good brakes and suspension of a Skyline, she will be a better driver for it.

Yeah I only let my Gf drive my car on Sundays and the rest of the days she comes around she drives my mums accent. but everytime she drives my car she "accidently" drops the clutch and does a bit of a skid....Unfortunately for others she is already becoming a hoon like me

hmmm yeah I see, is this because of the body weight transfer that commonly occurs in the R33? I think I might have to convince her to get a S14 then I can use it and have fun in it.

Allen: I havent seen that many R33 series 2's around. Though I do agree that the R33 series 1's are extrmemly common. they're almost as common as commonwhores or falcoons
