Nak that stuff is so easy to do lol, probs take you about 2 hours to do it all really well. Gear stick surround is easy, just remove the ash tray that sits above it (should be two screws inside) and then you can just pull the surround off. You need to take your shift knob off to get the boot trim over the gear stick. Then to get the rest of the facia off is pretty much a case of working from the bottom to the top, you can easily see the screws holding it in, just undo those and unclip it until you have removed what you want

Although i believe in R33's that if you want to remove the stereo head unit surround then you have to go all the way to the drivers side door, but i don't own one so im not 100% sure about that.
Just remember if you paint it, rough it up with some fine grade sandpaper first, and use lots of plastic primer to make sure the paint sticks, otherwise you end up with lots of runs and orange peel effect.
