OK, so I have been talking about this for a while and I've finally brought it home!! About time too... Picked it up for $2k, and started work on it this afternoon.
Plan is:
RB25DET motor and gearbox
6Boost manifold
Garrett GT35R with 0.82 rear housing
GReddy plenum
Cams
Bosch 1000cc injectors
PWR intercooler
PWR radiator
Haltech ECU
Haltech dash
Complete Driftworks catalog of suspension parts
R33 GT-R Brembo calipers
Upgraded disks
R33 GTS-t handbrake
Origin body kit
Z-Tune bonnet
18in ROTA street tires
17in TE37 track tires
Cheapest skid tires I can find... Its gonna go through a lot of them ;)
The end result should be a nice 450-500hp, with some handling and street presence to go with it. Should be good fun! Obviously there is soooooo many more parts, but that is just a quick list. I will list the rest when I get a bit more time.
Anyway, here are the pictures of how I picked her up...
On the trailer, about to come home:

Ok, now I need some help deciding a few things. First of all, the aircon.
I need to remove it to put some new carpet in it. Should I just ditch it while its out, or put it back in and try to get it working? Most people would be thinking "No aircon? Thats unheard of!!", but in the 2 years I had my R33, I used it 3 times. It just isnt something I rely on, in any of my cars. Although It would be nice to have... The other issue is weight. The RB25 is heavier motor, but if I ditched the aircon, sound deadening, everything in the boot, and all the airbag junk it might even up the extra weight I'm putting into it. Maybe...
Ideas? Questions? Funds? I'll accept them all :P$

Did a bit of work to it today. Can't do too much until money starts coming in, and I have a few bills to pay off first. But anyway. Here's what I got done:
Carpet out, dash out, seats out, everything stripped down as much as possible:

Posted Image

Posted Image

The pile is growing quickly...

Posted Image

Carpet is fucked, so thats being replaced. Front seats are being sold in favour for some BRIDES, rears I'm sure what I will do. Is there any difference between S14 and S15 seats, does anyone know? They will be retrimmed either way. Airbag wiring and module has been removed as I'm going for a non-airbag steering wheel, dash removed cos I'm cracked. I'll strip the sound deadening out of it too, then respray it all black. Not sure if I'll have this done professionally or if I paint it with spray cans as
it won't get seen. Probably the cheaper route, haha.

Also, goodbye aircon!!

Posted Image

This is all your aircon shit that is in your engine bay, if anyone was interested:

Posted Image

Funny story, I went to undo a bolt thinking the system had been drained... Should have checked that one first... Managed to get gas all over the place!! So we went for a drive while the rest drained out, as I think I blew the seal and couldnt stop it leaking. First of many fuck ups for this car, I think! Lol.
WIll probably start stripping the rest of the aircon out tomorrow, and maybe the rest of the engine bay so I can get it ready for painting.
I need a new camera so I dont need to worry about getting my DSLR dirty, or taking crap photos with my iPhone. Another "when I get money" thing.

Sadly, my pay check isnt as big as I would like... But hopefully I get a payrise soon when I get off probation.
Also, performance parts are cheap through work, so that will help to. But at the end of the day, plenty of saving is going to be the biggest thing. Should be good fun!

The Aircon thing is what EVERYONE is talking about!! It gone, pulled the rest out last night. I'm not changing my mind on this one!! If it's too hot, the car doesn't get driven. Easy as that! Lol. But I do appreciate the comments and opinions guys, keep them coming.

James, not sure yet. What are they worth? $200-250 for both, maybe? Something around that. Or swap for S14 dash pieces :P

Nakkers, I love JET200! Andrew Hawkins is an absolute douche in real life, but he knows how to build a car! Something similar to that hopefully, but without a h

It looked like it would work, still had plenty of gas in it. Nothing was broken or bent on removal, although you will need all the electronics to go with it which is entwined with my wiring loom, and no I will not be removing it from there. Lol.

If it was a daily, I would keep the Aircon.

The wiring would be compressor on offswitch and the rest would be sensors like low gas sensor and thermostat.
So shouldnt be hard to make them up for my car.

If you want it, $150 and its all yours, but it'll be a mission to plumb it all in behind your dash. Give it a shot if you want, though.

I've done plenty of engine swaps, one I'll never do again is an rb25 into any form of Silvia.
Go buy yourself a nice blacktop sr20 with t28bb turbo.

A lot less headache, ie wiring, fitment including possible chopping of rad support bar, bonnet and strut clearance, what clutch master cylinder (which you'll need an rb25), everything.
An sr20 will drop right in no headache attached and can be done in a day if all parts there.

I got an sr20de sitting in my shed you can have for free, got the ecu, auto box, wire harness, clutch fan, manifold n front pipe all still attached n ready to go. Throw that in for few months then decide what to do
