Hi guys,

Lately i have been thinking about the facebook to IP.Board (the forums software) connection thing between each other in order to strike more members for the club.

For the website to become connected with facebook, it requires the boards software to be upgraded to then get the option to work. With upgrading the boards software it will also unlock other newly released stuff. The only downside to upgrading the board software is that the skin used currently for the website is not supported by the newer board version thus meaning a new skin would need to used or the old skin will need to be modified to suit the newer code of ipboard. (Something i want to avoid) I would much rather go with a new skin then rewrite the original. It just takes to long to do.

Anyhow, my question to all is, do we want to make this change and if so, im very happy to do it to get members into the club. It will be a new look but it will remain the same designed logo, colors etc.

Whats your thoughts peoples????

I have been doing some investigating to see what i need to do to upgrade the board. From what i have been reading, there is ALOT of upset people over the code changing for the board as this stuffs up every addon, plugin, app or what ever the hell you have really attached to the board. Awesome!!! :( Everything is a start from scratch situation no matter what way i look at it. All this for facebook connections. Grrr

I will bite my tongue and continue to stuff it up. I do expect things to not work properly for a while until i get it right. Many many hours will have to spent on it but i think it will be worth it. Well not for me but more for the club.

I don't like this newer version of IP Board. Its shit. Invision Power, what have you done to your software???? It's crap!!! Alot of features in the old one are now removed in the new. WTF??? Build a software platform thats awesome and then go and fuck it up going backwards with taking features out. Gahhhhh What are they thinking.

The newer version releases better shine. I can tell ya that.

there's a prob with uploading pics onto threads. cant direct load em fro websites like before and even after i choose a pic from the browse option, there isnt an option to upload it. fail

Cheers mate. Theres a lot that i have spotted that aint working. As i say, this new board version just sucks. Everyones avatar pics look like shit and if you have a gif avatar, it doesnt work. Emoticons don't work properly. Replying to post in full editor is just fucked with it coming up with all sorts of rubbish. Plus theres a heap of other bugs i have found with the board.

Gees, these are the sorts of problems you normally get with a third party skin but the thing is that were using a standard default and its still fucked. InvisionPower, you have not impressed me with your newly release board. :(

Think thats a hook causing that and i have disabled it. It catches old urls and redirects them to the right url format. Turned it off to see if it fixes it.

Yer shoutbox is stuffed. It wont post. Apart from that it works.

Mish it can be an idea.
