UPDATE:
OK guys, this is on again! Firstly I'll just let you know there will be no actual cruising, not that I'm organising anyway. Feel free to organise one for afterwards.
The general idea is we meet up at one central location, and I'll take one car away at a time for about 15-20 minutes and take a range of shots before returning back to the meeting place and grabbing someone else and their car.
A few examples:
This will not be a full shoot for each car, but more of a "preview" if you like. All in good fun
Meet: Kambo's Retravision, cnr Bellefin Drive and Malaga Drive
Date: 27th March
Time: 10am til whenever we finish
There is a park just up the road, so bring a ball, cricket gear, whatever you want. Brett will also be having a sausage sizzle, so bring some money for food and to help out our club.
If anyone has any issues or questions, dont be afraid to ask me here.
Hope to see you there!

All photos are taken in full size (3000x2000 or something like that) then edited and saved in full size, before being saved again as a internet friendly size (800x600) so a full size edited version is available for all photos taken on the day.

Always remember that I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me. An alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks as much as you do. Don't drink and drive, you might hit a bump and spill your drink. You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on. Stay busy, get plenty of exercise, and don't drink too much. Then again, don't drink too little. Time is never wasted when you're wasted all the time. One reason I don't drink is that I want to know when I am having a good time. A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine, except that on a day without sunshine you can still get drunk. I stopped drinking, but only when I sleep. This is one of the disadvantages of wine: it makes a man mistake words for thought. Cigarettes and coffee: an alcoholic's best friend !!!! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they always worked for me. The consumption of alcohol may cause pregnancy. A man who exposes himself when he is intoxicated, has not the art of getting drunk. A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory. I drink to forget I drink. Alcohol is necessary for a man so that he can have a good opinion of himself, undisturbed be the facts. Once, during Prohibition, I was forced to live for days on nothing but food and water. The whole world is about three drinks behind. I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Ok, this is gonna be hard... Lol.
My photography skills have stepped up a bit since the last photocruise, so walking around a car taking bulk photos of different angles isn't going to work this time around. I'll have to find a few backgrounds, spend time arranging the cars to get them perfect, try a couple of exposures and shots, then change the angle a few times before moving on. This means for a huge group, it'll take quite some time to get everyone done.
This is what I was thinking. Instead of people sitting around for 8 hours waiting, we get 3 or 4 groups to come by at different times, then everyone can still have fun, talk and socialize, but they'll only be there for a few hours rather then all day. How does that sound to everyone?

I'm up for that. Definitely limits the options for locations though, but definitely a good idea. I'll look into it.

Sounds great! Like the BBQ idea. I think beaches will be too crowded for a big photoshoot. Im thinking a bit of a country run and a not too busy or well known bbq area with a good backdrop would be ideal. Even if anyone knows someone with a private property/farm we could use, that might be a nice idea.
Its the little things in life that count.
