Hey guys

I need some ideas for finger food to have at my 21st. I'll be serving cute and mini versions of things like mini cupcakes etc

But am stuck for recipes that aren't for dessert. I've look at some websites but nothing I have found is really easy. i don't want mum to spend the whole night in the kicthen so am lookign for things we can prepare during the day

:D

here are a few ideas.
Roasted minni capsicums stuffed with whatever takes your fancy - dip, pesto, cream cheese.
Mini bruchetta, on the little tiny crispy bread slice thingys, you know the ones?
Cherry tomaroes stuffed with pesto and baked with melted cheese on top.
Little Spring rolls with some spicy and sweet/sour dip.
little queches (dont know if thats how its spelt.)
a cheese tray and a sliced meats tray.
In the origional story I think they went to eat the clams or muscles or something. maybe some chilli muscles.

Alice in wonderland ideas

In honour of the Queen of Hearts, make heart-shaped biscuits and decorate them with red icing.

Treacle tarts are mentioned in the story, both by the sleepy dormouse at the Tea Party and at Alice's trial at the end of the book. Buy them as one large tart to cut up or in small individual sized tarts to arrange on a plate. Serve also jam and lemon tarts for colour - the mouth-curling sweetness of treacle isn't for everyone

•When Alice falls down the rabbit hole she finds a bottle with a label "DRINK ME". Write this on small parcel labels (the kind that tie on with the small cardboard tag) to bottles on the table. The drink, so the story goes, tastes like cherry tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffee and hot buttered toast. This gives some more ideas on dishes to serve at the tea party. It may be wise not to attempt to make the drink itself!

For drinks, serve in a teapot - it doesn't have to be tea. Fruit juice, lemonade - even wine

click This has some great ideas for deccorating cupcakes, I especially like the heart shaped edible confetti.

hope that helps.

Ohhhhhhh how about a chocolate fountain or fondu (how ever it is spelt. with strawberrys to dip in it. yummy, I think the Q of hearts would appreciate that. hehehe

This one always goes down well - http://www.westcoast...ish-shortbread/. Just make sure that you do enough because people will pitch a fit if they come back and find them all gone.
You will also be able to cut them into smaller pieces to suit your needs once baked.
Very easy to make.

Thanks Marianne thats awesome :D I will be having 'eat me' and 'drink me' tags on some food and drinks. Drinks will be drunk from tea cups. There will be a choc fountain. Have got heaps of little tart recipes, mini quiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. Allen, i love shortbread :D
