Quoted $3000 to fix and touch up paint on guard and in engine bay.
i can also get a full respray for $2000 extra.
I'm going to go with that.
Car goes in 28th Feb, will take 2 weeks.
Should be able to drive it again in 7 weeks.
The plan is to upgrade and renew some parts on the car
as well as a FULL R33 GTS25T CONVERSION (just kidding rhys)
Respray will be same as current colour but undecided wheter to do a blue pearl in the orange (shine blue in sun like mallys) or just add more orange metallic to the normal paint.
Additions will include but not limited to
Turbo L Series Engine
Rebuilt Gearbox
Lower Springs
New front and maybe rear shocks
Front Camber/Castor Kit (Strut top)
Rear Camber/Toe Kit (Bush)
Thermo fans
1981 L20ET ECU & Loom if i can't get a R30 turbo distributor so i can run RB30E ECU + Loom
All kinds of minor stuff also but too late at night to think of them all.
I'd like to have it fully completed by the start of June Latest.
I'm also in the market for a sub $100 bunky no bigger than 2L engine,
If anyone sees one could they let me know?

Shit, when I read sub $100 I was wondering if you wanted an engine, running gear, and rego included...
Sounds good dude, I was a bit excited when I read "Full R33 GTS25T conversion" but you let me down
Definately go both front and rear shocks. And not just replacement OEM shocks, but actual sports shocks that'll improve the handling, because extra power like that will need the handling. Also, upgrade the brakes as well. Even R33 GTS brakes are a decent upgrade (Mish... wanna put some GTSt brakes on your car? ) No point going if you cant stop it/control it!

He has to get the chassis straightened and a bit of other work, so I'd say its probably $5k for paint and panel alone.

yeah, we were pretty much spot on then at xmas function when we said it would cost about 3k for the repairs.
2k for a full respray these days is a pretty decent price.... tho considering the guy would have to basically paint the whole front of the car anyway, id try get him to paint it for less.
if your gonna spend this amount of coin on it mate you "Definitely!!!!!" want to have a turbocharged motor
trust me on this one. ive seen too many people spend 7000+ $$ on shitty engines only to regret it when they realise for 3k they could have dropped a shitty ca18det into it and it would have gone way harder.

3000 to repair all the body damage (not suspension)
inc painting everything that needs to be repainted at the front.
if i wanted to the dude gave me the option of full respray of whole car for an added 2000
there's also rust i need to get fixed and damage from dickheads not jacking it up properly underneath.
i'll try get it all in the same price

afaik only rhys has ever jacked up my car and he did it properly.
Just whoever in the last 33 years hasn't used the sills on the side and used the flat piece of metal further in and bent it all into itself.
Mettam's mufflers balcatta managed to drive my car off the side of their hoist once, i definitely was not happy.

When did I jack up your car? I cant remember...
Mettams drove off the hoist?? How the FUCK do you do that??? Was he stoned? I'd be making them pay to fix all damage and give me the exhaust for free!! Thats unacceptable
