Ok, so a bit of history on the car.
I picked it up 2 years ago for the cheap price of $14,000. BARGAIN!! And it was QUIIIIIICK!! Compared to my NA 33 and my S13 which kept breaking down. Since then, I've become more and more used to it, to the point where it feels slow now
Ok, this is how I bought the car:
1996 Nissan Skylines ECR33 GTSt Series 2
RB25DET engine
145,000km
Highflow turbo
JJR front mount intercooler
Z32 AFM
K&N pod filter
JJR dump/front pipe
High flow cat
JASMA-approved exhaust (crazy quiet)
Spitfire coilpacks
Catch can
GReddy Profec B Spec II boost controller
Toshi Retune ECU
Haltech Interceptor piggyback (All set to 0)
Walbro fuel pump
HKS Twin Plate clutch
Short shifter
Tien Flex coilovers with EDFC
GReddy boost and water temp gauges
Minor sound system
Since then, I've done the following:
Destroyed a set of semi-slicks (6 months)
Destroyed a set of Kumos (1+ years)
Destroyed a set of Falcon stockies (1 week)
Installed a NISMO dash (102,000kms on the clock)
Put a FUSION stick on the rear window
Put a www.westcoastcruisers.com.au sticker on the bonnet
Domokun toy on the rear
Slotted front disks
Wound the coilovers down to a stupid lever
Then the usual maitanence shit. Belt, gaskets, hoses, ect ect. Whatever I find that doesnt look right or I think MIGHT cause me an issue in the near future is replaced with genuine Nissan parts.
The idea behind this build is to make something completely unique to me. Too many R33s out there are just exhaust, pod, and boost controller, then driven til they break. My car will be restored as its modified, fiddling with everything I can to make it the best I possibly can. Sadly I dont get paid much, and the money I do get is usually spent on alcohol or camera shit. But its time to finally start investing money into this project, so stay tuned! Everything will be documented here.
Short term plans:
New rear camber arms (Kazarma)
New front strut tops if possible (gotta adjust the camber)
New diff (Thinking NISMO 2-way)
New exhaust (straight pipes ftw!! None of this cannon shit)
Respray front bar
"Drift" or "lip" spoiler
East Bear LED tail lights
Craft Square mirrors
BRIDE race seats
BRIDE interior retrim
Remove aircon
Remove sound deadening
Remove sub (put it in the bunky most likely)
New wheels
ViPec ECU
Whiteline front and rear sway bars
Long term plans:
RB25/30 built motor (Looking at the Spool 3.4L stroker too )
Brembo brakes
Bombed suspension
Rebuild gearbox
Blah
Blah
Blah
Waaaaaaay too much money spent
So yeah, thats my project! Kazarma camber arms first.
Ok, Photobucket is working again so here are some pictures of the old girl:
At it's highest:
And at it's lowest:
It's been wound up 3 times since then, scraped like muthafucker everywhere!!! Plus dad nearly destroyed the front bumper going into then out of my mates driveway in it when I didn't have a license. Actually, both photos were taken while i didn't have a license! Lol
Ok, this is how it stands now:
WCC sticker (one of my mods )
And my security system, Domokun!!
DO A FARKEN SKIIIIIIIID MATE!!!!

Also, you don't list a fuel pump there. Is that still stock? If not then no wonder you are only making 280rwhp dude, get some more fuel in there asap! If you upgraded your fuel pump and got your ecu retuned properly on a dyno, I bet you would get a decent gain.
Good to see you have changed your plans to sell it, it is one of the few R33's that I like Will keep an eye on this thread.

As for the Interceptor, I agree 100%. I would never put one in. It didn't work properly though, the ignition side wasn't working properly so he got the Toshi instead. If what you said is true and it's just a cheaper tune on a NIStune board, then thats awesome news!! Saves me buying a ViPec just yet. Lol.
Yeah, I wanna sell and get something more unique, but I love it too much, lol. So looks like I'll have to keep it and make it into a 33 that makes everyone stop and say "wow..."

I am definitely thinking Meisters though James, awesome wheels! Cant get SSR Proffessors though, cos my mate has them... And definitely some crazy offset so they poke out front and rear And not just by a few mm
Luke, for sure mate! Most of what I know about my car is by working on it. I can pull the front of the motor down within an hour, I know the crank bolt is 19mm, and that the bolts that hold the timing cover on are the perfect size for pulling the harmonic balancer off. Plus if we fuck up, it's my problem not yours!! Hahaha. But I'll PM you when I'm doing some major work on it at home. A lot of the stuff though, like the diff swap, will be done at work cos it's easier with the hoist.
As for the aircon, well I never use it anyway. It uses too much fuel, the car runs too hot with the extra load (on a 40deg day), and it costs me power. It hasn't bothered me so far, so may as well remove it to help clean up the engine bay and give me some extra room. All the other shit is just extra weight. Having said that, I want to put a cage in it eventually, but will be retaining the rear seats, so it isn't going on INSANE diet, just a lil one.

Whoops, i knew i forgot to mention a few things. It has a Walbro fuel pump, not sure of the flow rate though.
As for the Interceptor, I agree 100%. I would never put one in. It didn't work properly though, the ignition side wasn't working properly so he got the Toshi instead. Lol yeh, was wondering who would upgrade the turbo without doing the fuel pump! haha.
I know that Toshi uses NIStune software to tune his ECU's, what I'm not 100% on is whether he uses a NIStune board. But you should take it to a tuner to find out, see if it is re-mappable.

Anyway, here is my dilemma. Should I:
a) Buy Kazama camber arms, roll the guards and think about an exhaust?
Buy this THEN do the above
or
c) Buy this THEN do a) THEN do
Ideas guys?

Gday mate,
I have an ECR33 with a factory ECU which you've tuned. I was wondering if you locked the tunes at all? I was hoping to get it retuned/touched up here in Perth. I was told it was a based on a Nistune board. Is this true?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rhys
And this was my reply:
Hi
Im using nistune software but I do not using nistune board.
Nistune do not sale board for R33.
R33 board saling in Japan only but its not nistune board.
R33 board is able to use by emulator.(or eprom)
So I am able make data real time.(like a nistune board or power fc)
Then data burn to same R33jenuen ecu hitach chip.
Chip replace to R33 std chip.
I think your cars previous owne installed mail order remap chip.
Its I will make remap chip for customer cars mods.
R33 ecu remap chip doing only me in Australia.
So I think you can not remap R33 ecu in perth.
If my customer change some mods I will make chip for his mods then sending to customer.
Toshi
I think he's trying to tell me that I cant get ASG to retune it? I think...
Anyway, so its back to the drawing board on that one. I might drop by ASG in the coming weeks and ask what ECU they'd recommend. Given that I prefer the ViPEC personally, but want them to tune it rather then the tossers at AutoWorx, we'll see what they say.

Cusco adjustable wishbones coming in March, so that'll have my wheel allignment fixed.
Next on the list are new tires (fronts are worn on the inside edge, rears are absolutely crap house), new exhaust (custom from Kermit, going for the "straight pipes" look. Should be nice and unique) then some BRIDE racing seats and full interior retrim. Should be a bright future for the old girl!

These are the camber arms:
Installed:
Cant wait to get the guards lipped and a wheel alignment!
Ok, found this while it was on the hoist getting a service:
The joys of owning a stupidly low car!! A week later, and she looked like this:
Close up of the standard loom location:
Not too much room to move!
First thing I did was actually fix the window washer hoses. I ran over some metal one night (I was only doing 20km/h thank God!!) but it cut the clip holding the hoses up and they fell onto the tire, which obviously wore a hole into them before I caught it. Some 6mm irrigation piping I found in the shed and a couple of adaptors and they were good as new:
Nothing too interesting, but worth noting anyway.
I taped up the damaged section of the loom, then took out 2 of the 3 clips. The middle clip I took off and put it back on the other way, then pulled the loom up and over the ledge its attatched too. To avoid the ledge rubbing through the loom (and basically undoing what I'm trying to achieve here) I cut a 400mm long piece of irrigation hosing (this shit is really usefull! And free from Dad's shed ), then cut a slit down the middle so it sat over the ledge and provided a soft surface.
Unfortunately I didnt take any photos of the finished product, but you can see the hosing here:
All in all, there is now plenty of room for the tire to move before it hits the loom. Job well done I think!
The car is now sitting there with the fenders and front bar on, but I'm going to give the headlights a thorough cleaning before I put them back on. I want to clean behind the side skirts before I put them back on, then I'll need some new double sided tape. I took the left hand side off because I wanted to get the damage repaired that has been annoying me since I bought it, but I dont have the money right now I'll definately be adding it to my list though. It requires the front bar to be repaired and resprayed (A few scratches, and J-Shop did a horrific job of installing the intercooler so I'd like to have the extra cuts plastic welded and smoothed out), plus the fender has been scratched and the side skirt has a crack in it. The previous owner scraped a curb before he sold it to me.
Next on the list is an exhaust, BRIDE seats and interior retrim, then more suspension arms.
