Just easier i think, not so stuffy, better vision... dunno, never really worn either before, apart from trying them on. What do people recommend?
I rock an open faced one. I like them better too for some reason. Full faced may work for the Stig, but not for me.

Hey guys,
I'm looking at buying a helmet to use at these events and maybe for the motorplex, Anybody know whether open face helmets can still be used at the plex? According to their website it's ok if you car is slower the 11 secs. But I was talking to a few guys in helmets shops that said they had heard regulations may be changing?? and you will need a full face??
I prefer to get an open face, but don't want to buy one only to get turned away..
I realise that these helmets need to be AS/NZ1698 approved.
Cheers
Gav
they are getting harder at plex last time i went he almost didnt let me in with a moto helmet saying it had few scratches.
they just look for ur shiny silver sticker and has to look new. also if u pull an 11second pass, an open face helmet is the least of ur worries. they want full roll cage and harness's for 11's

Yeah i realise...
Thanks, dunno what I'll do yet. I still got a while before I need it anyway. I might be able to borrow an open face from a mate of mine, to try it out.

I went to a few places in vic park on saturday, Helmet house, and some other place opposite maccas, 70bucks or 150 for an open face, and about 150 for a full face,
Got mine from a Motorbike shop in Osborne Par on Frobisher Street. Cost no more then $50 or $60.
