The Tickfords are ok, but still pretty shit. (Mechanical point of view). The new shot is ok, but still cheaply made. But the Boss motors are fucked from what I've heard (From Ford mechanics)
There's a reason I have only ever owned Jap Shit, but I'd own a XR6 ute... But would prefer an SS ute (both as dailies, obviously. Jap crap ftw!)

Next time you're on the road, compare how many Holden taxis there are compared to Fords.
Care to guess the reason why Falcons outnumber the Commonwhores 10-1?
Reliability and durability. Confirmed by a couple of cabbies I've been in the car with.

I also dug up this information about the Ford Falcon nearing to an end as it merges with a "One Ford, global model strategy" replacing it with the Ford Taurus SHO. A AWD direct-injection 3.5-litre EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 which reportedly develops 272kW at 5500rpm and 474Nm from 3500rpm.
