Nah, 100% sure this exact article came out last year, I remember reading it and then youtubing for that clip of Phil Collins talking. It was Michael Shumacher at one stage though lol.

Phil????Nah, 100% sure this exact article came out last year, I remember reading it and then youtubing for that clip of Phil Collins talking. It was Michael Shumacher at one stage though lol.
The original Stig was Ben Collins and he released his autobiography a couple of years ago announcing that he was the Stig. That was when he was dressed in black. They killed him off in an episode by shooting him off a cat on an aircraft carrier and the white Stig was born.
A couple of seasons ago they brought in Shumacher to drive the FXX and used him as a publicity stunt only.
The white Stig is still a mystery but it's rumoured that they kept Collins on as the Stig. This is what the talk is about at present - that the Stig is still Collins. There have been a few episodes where Collins was used such as the parachuting into a car and a 4x4 drive.
It's still a mystery as to who the Stig is, it's just that Collins may still be the Stig.

But it says in that article that it was Perry McCarthy who was the black stig who was killed off after publishing it in his autobiography, not Ben Collins.
