I never go there to see who I can beat. I go to get my best time, and beat myself (Waits for Allen's smartarse post)
The fact I beat a 32 GT-R multiple times last time is just a bonus

lol im somewhat scared now after what andrew at hyperdrive said. thinks only a few runs at the drags can destroy a brass button clutch, maybe thats only if you do like 6-7000 rpm clutch dumps or something?
?
nice job rhys, beating a gtr!

9 Puck ceramic. Multiple high rev launches and no sign of wear yet.
I even have a second one for my 30DET.
Love them.

Yeh launching really isn't good for any clutch. Some clutches are designed to take it, which is why drag cars are generally purpose built. You wouldn't want the same clutch for drifting as you would for drag racing.
Which is why I don't want to take my car to the drags, organic clutch not designed for it.

You dont want to do high clutch dumps anyway. Low RPM, slip the clutch out. Gives the quickest times!

+1^ My 9 puk in my old 20 held up well with hard launches. The nismo twin plate with the 26 is even better again.

My clutch doesn't slip lol. It's disengaged and then it's engaged, you're either moving or you've stalled lol.

^Same as my HKS Twin Plate.
Would be keen to come watch.
Rhys, must have been bone stock with a craaaaaaaap driver (like me)

Martin, i could slip your clutch
U want to slip it to stall it up anyway. Start boosting without moving. Makes 2sec 60ft possible

Yeah, obviously not a good driver! Haha. Only pulling high 13sec passes
Martin, mine is the same. It's not great for drag racing, but it's ok. I have been able to launch it perfectly before, but I was racing NIKSMO on Alexander Drive. Would have been an awesome time if I did it at the drags!

That's not right Either!! Lol. Stall it up with your right foot while your left foot on the brake. Although I'm sure you knew that

Are you sure thats what i should do? isnt pressing the go thingy and brake thingy at the same kinda pointless? and wouldnt it waist fuel?
#34

It is a bit contradicting, isn't it? And I'm always worrying about fuel efficiency when I go to the drags

Is that the first week it's open? I don't recommend going then, it will be PACKED!! Every man, dog and Commodore will be down there, we'll get 3 runs max. Go in a few weeks. Unfortunately, if I can't afford new rear tires by the time you guys go, I'll be stuck on the sidelines with the camera.
