I'm also going to the Gold Coast next May, i have never been there before and don't know what is there apart from the theme parks.
I just thought i'd stick this thread up to see where people have gone and what they have done????

Born in South Africa
Lived in America
Been to Germany and South Africa countless times
Singapore
Dubai
Malaysia
England
Think that's all my international destinations so far, too many to remember. In Australia I've been to:
Ningaloo Reef,
Shark Bay,
Carnarvon
Exmouth
Esperance
Albany
Melbourne
Don't really count it as a holiday unless it's more than 300kms away.
I've also just confirmed that at the start of next year I'm going snowboarding in Germany/Italy/Paris for 3 weeks, and then going sailing in Thailand for a week on my way home

Been up and down the WA Coast, between Esperance and Kalbarri. Also Have family stretched from Margret River to Geralton so that helps.
Spent an hour in the Adelaide airport, does that count? 2 weeks traveling around Tassie then 3 days in Melbourne on the way back. But that was in 1999, so a long time ago.
Lately though, Mandurah has been the last "holiday destination", just before xmas 08. Unless you count the time my mates and I got bored so we drove the work car to Bunbury, stayed for about an hour then drove back home again?
