After having some epic problems with my Maxima, I sold that and got straight back on the hunt for a 6 cylinder car I can get around in.
Having a company car is great, but the big old Hilux isnt exactly a luxary to drive.
I bought this off Clint (AKA PANIK, DESAM8 (red GTR)), good bloke.
This was bunk, but loaded with options and I couldn't say no.
Factory sunroof w/ shade + logo
ABS (unusual for pre - xNA31s)
Optional fabric interior (still pretty bleh, but better than standard)
Extra bling lining down the doors.
The air con worked, and worked well, it drove nice (gearbox problems, but was still smooth)
Passed roadworthy first go and shortly after got plates.
Then the fun started.
Got R32 brakes with slotted rotors....cool....go to fit...they clear....ok....but the clearance....NOT COOL
Yeah, that does clear, wheel can free spin, but not risking that.
Needs new rims....found some R33 GTR rims for a VERY good price off a mate
Test fit pics (other ceffy)
PERFECT FITMENT FTW!!!
Ok, dress up time.
I swapped its grey interior for the black interior in the other Cefiro (see other thread) and got a digital climate control (pending some rewiring to make it 100% work)
Series 2 Taillights
On July 4, the auto gearbox seized, straight away follwed by engine problems.
Both have been removed, manual gearbox and parts ready to go, just waiting for some cash flow to buy an RB20DE or RB25DE (I will add turbo later on).
Stay tuned....

Got engine off Martin tonight, driving back down Greenmount Hill was interesting...got tailgated until motor fell over on tray of the ute....yeah that's right bitch, you leave yourself plenty of room now.
25 is now semi mounted....gotta tilt it, mount the flywheel/clutch and box, then mount it all properly, and then wire it up with an ECU.
Again....hardcore race against the clock to have her rolling by Friday.
Have to stay motivated.

Also fucked up brake install
Crossed the thread for the bleeder nipple on the calipers...so they have to come up and gotta spray the other set up, and assemble THOSE, and get the 32 calipers rebuilt. FFFFFFUUUUUUU
Might only have time for 5 stud front and 4 stud rear.

Shit that was quick lol, love your work man
Rather happy I sold the engine to somebody in WCC, I do have some emotional attachment to that engine still. Will be good to see it going again

Negative on extractors...standard RB manifold for now, possibly adding turbo if I have time before cruise otherwise will do later on, so yeah don't think I'll get extractors unless I decide to stay N/A for a while.

If you manage to get engine running and turbocharged before the cruise, I'm officially burning down KYP lol

If that's the honest truth Martin, I'll take the week off to help Noc get it running! Haha. Nah, I think they need me to do a turbo this week, ironically!
Awesome progress tho dude, it's happening so quickly! Don't push yourself to get that turbo on, get the engine running perfectly first.
How did you cross thread the nipple on the caliper??

Yeah, atleast N/A with the brakes fixed.
Not sure on the nipple....it had some trouble going in, that's when the ratchet let go and I ended up with a big lip...it felt harsh but it did go in, we thought it was ok, went to bleed the brakes, and with the nipple closed it was pissing fluid out, really quick..came out (even more difficult) and we'd fucked it.
Ran around midland hoping to find an 11/12mm tap/die set, but couldn't in the thread we needed, so quickly assembled the R33 calipers and will use those (more carefully).
Will eventuallly get both sets (all 8) calipers rebuilt with new seals, and anodized properly, but was just in a rush today, perhaps too much of a rush.
Really beat myself up over that, we blew 2-3 hours, and got nowhere

Spewing man! You gotta be careful with bolts like that, aye. If it's even slightly harder then normal to go in, remove it and double check! It's happened me waaaay too many times, dont worry about that! Lol.
Every rebuild has these issues, it's all part of the fun.
