The adventure began to pull out the engine and box.
During the removal, i noticed that there was a shit load of oil in the intake system. I fully stripped the intake system down so i could clean it out. The 6,500 - 8,000 rpm would explain the excessive oil. Since now seeing this, i will put on my catch can.
I have also found that i need to replace the cv boots as they are bugged.
After stuffing my back yesterday and paying for it today, it was out.
The next thing was to start removing the old plenum.
After removing the plenum, i realized that there is actually 2 boost restrictors on a RB26 motor. Note were im pointing. Its hidden under the plenum so you don't even know its there until the plenum is removed. Seya bye, it got removed.
Next was to remove the turbo's and exhaust manifolds. Now since doing this to engine being out, there is no friggen way i would of been able to remove them while the engine was in the car. Getting to some of the bolts was an absolute mission. It was a case of "you had to remove this to get that. But to get to that you had to remove this. So on and so on." Grrrr. It was a pain in the ass but now i know what needs to be done to remove twin turbo's from an RB26.
After the turbos were removed, i checked to see if they were stock and yup they were. Part number: 1441-05U22
I remove the cams gear cover to see if it had adjustable gears. Nope all stock.
After removing the cams gear cover, i removed the rocker covers to see what cams it had. The only thing i found on the cams was a number U4 with what looks like factory paint color codes marked on the cams. To me they look stock but im going to do more investigation to see what the U4 stands for as i don't have a clue what it means. I'm just assuming their stock.
Injectors are stock.
Having a look at the head and block, it had the factory O5U stamped on the block and head. Now since ive seen what turbos and cams its got, i still believe its a stock engine. Why does it go like stick you say? I just think it's a bloody good engine with an excellent tuned $50 ebay Mines chip. The only other mods to this engine that i know of is the pods and the yellow jacket coil packs. Apart from that, its stock i reckon.
Who believes me now that it is stock or do i have to fully pull the engine down to show everyone that it is fully stock?

Next i plan to pull the hicas system out as ive had a gut full with the car darting in different directions. It just makes it so hard to control especially when its in a slide. I have to wait until my back is a bit better before i can do anymore work.

Are there any internal modifications that would actually increase power output? Forged internals just make the engine stronger, so even if there are any modifications internally it shouldn´t affect the power output...
Keep in mind with the turbos, all that part number means is you have the stock housings. They could still be high-flows. But they don´t look like it so you´re probably right in saying that they are stock...

13psi of boost at a low flow rate is not as good as 13psi of flow at a higher rate. The bigger the diameter, the more air. They could be high flows but i doubt it. It was only cranking 13psi of boost. Ive also just picked up a replacement Attesa computer to replace mine as i think its faulty. From day dot ever since i got the car, the 4wd system has never worked correctly by making the car jerk while you drive. In 2wd its fine. If this doesn't solve the problem, the last thing it can be is the G force sensor being faulty. Its all trial and error to find the problem.
Even still, they don't look to be high-flowed.

First thing, the gearbox was removed and yep, she had a genuine Nismo twin plate clutch installed just like the badge said. Having only about 25% of meat left on the plates, i think i might change it.
Sub frame back under the car and rolling again.
Stripping of engine.
Head was removed. Looking at the head and block water jackets, there was no corrosion in sight. Its a perfectly clean head and block. Looking at the head for carbon build up, there was absolutely nothing. Squeaky clean. No carbon build up at all. Looking at the bores they were in good condition with no lip at all at the top.
Next the sump was removed. There's no fordgees in this beast. Its all stock.
Conclusion with whats been done to the engine... STOCK AS A ROCK!
If you still me tell that it wasn't stock, well then your a retard and you don't know what your on about. It has now been proven that it was in fact stock all along like i said. Yes read it and weep peoples. I can say this because is was right all along.
Here i come 500 AWHP.

Thanks for your help to Allen. I really appreciate your help dude and thats why i don't hesitate to help you with your projects. Cheers bro!
